Employee Injured in Fall From Roof

On October 31, 1998, Employee #1 of State Roofing Company was marking a roof in preparation for laying tile. The pitch of the roof was 5 feet by 12 feet. Employee #1 was using swing tape to mark the roof. He was assisted by another employee. Employee #1 was walking near the edge of the roof when he lost his balance and fell approximately 17 feet to the ground. Employee #1 sustained a fractured right hip and was hospitalized.
