Employee amputates fingertip on circular knife

On February 9, 1999, Employee #1 was working for the Butterball Turkey Company at a turkey processing plant. At one point, she reached past the guard for the 6 in. circular knife on the "cantrell" heart and liver harvester, and amputated the tip of her right index finger. She was not hospitalized for the injury.
