Employee injured when pinned between forklift and trailer

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on September 11, 1998, Employee #1 was being trained on how to operate a forklift. After being instructed on control functions, he was sent to a designated practice area, where he took the forklift onto a ramp. He lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a trailer parked at the bottom of the ramp. Employee #1 became pinned between the lift and the trailer, fracturing his left leg; he was hospitalized for three days.
