Employee Is Injured in Fall Through Roof Opening

On August 4, 2005, an employee, a carpenter, was cutting a roof opening for ladder access to the roof. The employee stood up to get a tool. He slipped when he tripped on his saw cord. The employee fell through the opening he just cut. He fell 15 ft to the concrete floor. The employee received fractured ribs, a punctured lung and fractured right wrist. He was hospitalized and treated for his injuries.
