Employee Amputates Thumb with Skil Saw

On September 23, 2005, an employee was cutting window casing with a Dewalt Mitre Saw when he placed hand under the blade, while it was still in rotation. The employee's right thumb was amputated. He was taken immediately to Mercy Medical Center, and the transferred to Ralf Davis Implantation in San Francisco. The employee spent five days in the hospital for his injuries.
