Investigation Summary
On September 12, 2010, Employee #1 was working for a dairy farm as an outside worker. Employee #1 was helping to vaccinate calves in a field. Employee #1 placed a rope around a calf when the calf took off. The rope had a loop in it which wrapped around Employee #1's fingers on his left hand. Employee #1's fingers were severely lacerated by the rope. Employee #1 had surgery and the tip of his little finger had to be amputated.
