Employee falls and gets little finger amputated

On July 16, 2008, Employee #1, a knot bumper, from a logging contractor got injured. This job entails cutting limb of logs so that they can be stacked and loaded on logging trucks. The employee #1 was walking away from a log he had cut the limbs off when Employee # 1 slipped or tripped he was not sure which. Employee #1 fell placing his hand on the bar of the chain saw. The sharp chain caused deep lacerations to his left little finger. The motion of Employee #1's body weigh landing on his finger nearly severed his finger. The little finger was amputated at the hospital.
