Event: 06/12/2007
Employee Cuts Hand on Saw Blade

On June 12, 2007, Employee #1, a woodworker, was cutting a stop using a dado blade on a Rockwell table saw. The stop was approximately 1.75-inch by 16-inch. The dado blade did not have a comb or suitable jig on it. The board slipped from Employee #1's hand, pulling her fingers across the dado blade. She received severe cuts to the tendons on the back of her right hand as she attempted to pull away from the turning saw blade. She was hospitalized for her injuries.
