Employee's Finger Crushed by Board,fingertip Amputated

Employee #1 works for the company as a sawyer. Employee #1 was assisting a forklift operator in straightening a crossed board on the out-feed table at the Globe saw. Employee #1 walked to the end of the feed table and placed his hand on the out-feed conveyor chain to step up on the conveyor deck. At this moment the forklift operator lowered the unit of particle board onto Employee #1's little finger on his right hand. The forklift operator did not realize Employee #1 was close to the unit of particle board. Employee #1 did not realize he had placed his right hand near the unit of particle board. The tip of Employee #1's little finger was amputated. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
