Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a drywall installer, was on the second floor of an office building under construction. He was handing a metal stud to a coworker who was on the platform of a scissor lift. He was leaning over the top rail around a floor opening when the rail gave way and he fell 15 ft 6 in. to the floor. Employee #1 suffered a badly bruised kidney and bruises to the left side of his body; he was hospitalized for 3 days.
