Employee injured when caught between scissor Lift and beam

At approximately 12:03 p.m. on October 29, 2004, Employee #1, working in Turlock, California, was operating a scissor lift. He maneuvered most of the scissor lift through a doorway that intersects into the side of a hallway. While repositioning the lift and reversing the lift back through the doorway, he caught his head between the beam over the doorway the scissor lift was under and a guardrail on the scissor lift. He sustained a broken jaw and neck. Employee #1 was taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where he was hospitalized.
