Investigation Summary
On June 13, 2007, Employee #1 was standing in a vehicle repair stall in an auto repair shop motioning a customer to drive his car into the space. He was standing against the wall in the rear of the stall giving the customer a slow forward motion. It was not normal procedure to let customer drive into repair stalls. In this case, the customer was handicapped and requested to remain in the vehicle as it would be extremely inconvenient to leave the vehicle. The customer lost control of his car and drove forward crushing Employee #1 against the wall. Employee #1 suffered two broken legs and was hospitalized.
