Employee Fractures Leg in Fall from Utility Pole

On August 3, 2006, Employee #1's foot slipped off the detachable step cable, which installers used to facilitate the ascent and descent of utility poles. Employee #1 fell 31 inches from a wooden utility pole and fractured his left leg. He was hospitalized.
