Employee is injured in fall from extension ladder

Employee #1 was descending a metal extension ladder from the roof of newly constructed one-story residential home. The ladder slipped and the employee fell approximately 10 to 12 feet to the ground. He sustained a fractured vertebra and was hospitalized for 5 days.
