Employee fractures hip in fall cleaning loader window

Employee #1, a loader operator working the graveyard shift, was cleaning a window on a 988B loader when his hard hat struck the vehicle's steel visor and he fell. He landed on the telecom phone in his pocket, and suffered a compound fracture of his hip. Employee #1 was out of work for approximately six months. The area was very dark and he could hardly see when he climbed out of the cab to clean the window.
