At 4:30 p.m. on March 21, 2001, Employee #1, of Granite Construction Inc., was loading hot oil into a tanker truck. When he unhooked the hose, it sprayed Employee #1, who received second degree burns to the left hand and chest area and was taken for treatment to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California.
