At approximately 2:00 p.m. on June 28, 2000, Employee #1, of Mission Linen Supply, was working on a sewing machine when the scissors that were being used struck her right eye. She sustained a serious eye injury and was taken to Fresno (CA) Community Hospital, where she was treated and released.
