Employee struck by rotating equipment

On March 7, 2002, Employee #1, a laborer, was helping de-burr the inside of a length of pipe that had been drilled. The de-burring implement goes on the inside of the pipe and rotates and removes the slag on the drilled holes. The machine tripped a circuit breaker and when the breaker was reset, Employee #1 who was standing next to the implement, was struck in the lower leg. He was hospitalized with bruises, contusions, and abrasions.
