Employee Is Injured While Operating Industrial Scraper

On November 1, 2005, Employee #1 was operating a Caterpillar scraper, Model Number 623. As he was maneuvering the scraper to make a left-hand turn, it began to bounce up and down violently, causing Employee #1 to hit his face on its steering wheel. The scraper eventually stopped when it hit the curb of a sidewalk. Employee #1 sustained multiple facial injuries and a possible broken back.
