Employee injured by fall from rolling scaffold

On December 26, 2002, Employee #1 of Jake's Framing was in the process of nailing sheer paneling from a rolling scaffold. Employee #1 was using a pneumatic nail gun and working from an 8-foot-high rolling scaffold. The sheer panel was an interior of a residential home that was under construction. As Employee #1 was nailing, he lost his footing and fell through the 42-inch-high railing system that was attached to the rolling scaffold. Employee #1 fell 8 feet to the concrete floor and fractured his left elbow and his left leg. The employer called an ambulance and Employee #1 was transported to the U.C Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, where he spent 5 days for treatment.
