Employee's hand crushed by concrete slab

On February 5, 2003, Employee #1 with Balfour Beatty was pulling himself from a lower working position. Nearby, a crew was using a backhoe to lift a concrete vault lid. This caused two other slabs to shift and crush Employee #1's left hand. He was hospitalized for finger injuries.
