Employee's arm injured when caught in conveyor

On August 15, 1999, Employee #1 was part of a sanitation crew for a company that canned fresh peaches. He was working from a 12 ft fiberglass ladder and using a high pressure washer to remove peach residue from the 48 in. wide rubber conveyor belt as it was running. Employee #1's hose became caught in the in-running conveyor belt and his right arm and hand were pulled into the nip point. He sustained fractures to his upper and lower arm. Employee #1 then pulled free and fell to the concrete floor.
