Investigation Summary
On August 17, 1999, Employee #1, a maintenance mechanic for a dried fruit processor, was trying to tip a heavy, 10 ft tall forklift manbasket onto its side. A forklift was lifting one edge of the heavy duty cage, but the load became too much for Employee #1 and he lost his grip on it. . The manbasket fell, and pinned him against the concrete floor. He sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
