Employee suffers collapsed lung

On February 17, 1999, Employee #1, a parts worker for a tractor dealership, suffered some pain on the left side of his chest. He worked to the end of his shift, then drove himself to Oroville Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with a collapsed left lung. Blisters found on his lung were not thought to be work-related, but apparently routine lifting may have caused the blisters to burst, collapsing the lung.
