Employee's hand injured in roller of printing press

On April 13, 1998, Employee #1, a press operator for a plastic bag manufacturer, was checking to see if the rolls of his printer were dirty when his left hand and arm were pulled into the nip point between the operating rollers. He sustained serious injuries to his hand, including abrasions and avulsed skin.
