Investigation Summary
Four carpenter employees were attempting to raise a wall for a residential home under construction. Because they determined the wall was too heavy, they began to lower the wall to the ground. The employees lost control of the wall while lowering it to the ground, and Employee #1, a carpenter apprentice, was injured when the wall fell, pinning him underneath. Employee #1 sustained compression fractures to three vertebrae and was hospitalized.
