Two employees injured when struck by falling machinery

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on March 28, 1997, Employees #1 and #2, a mechanical assembler and an engineer with Dynarad, were working on a titling problem with an LP 1200 furnace when the bail and tilt assembly fell on them. Employee #1 suffered a fractured leg and ankle, and was taken to San Leandro Hospital for treatment. Employee #2 was struck in the back and knocked unconscious; he was transported to Highland Hospital. Apparently, Employee #1 had removed the assembly pins without supporting the unit.
