Employee fractures back in fall from truck bed

Employee #1 was at the Hewlett Packard recycling area, loading a stake bed truck with materials to be dumped. He was standing on top of the load, above the 82 in. tall side boards when he fell off. Employee #1 suffered fractured vertebrae, a fractured tailbone, and a fractured elbow. The load, which included discarded table tops, was wet from a recent rain. Employee #1 was working for a temporary staffing service.
