Employee's arm lacerated while cleaning resaw blade

Employee was cleaning the laser eyes of a resaw at a sawmill. He was crossing between the rollers and in front of the 14 in. long saw blade when he suffered a severe laceration to his right arm. The accident was caused by Employee #1's apparent misunderstanding of his duties and by his not recognizing the danger posed by the saw blade.
