EMPLOYEE JUMPS FROM TRUCK AND INJURES LEG

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on November 1, 1997, Employee #1, a truck driver, was in the process of unloading lettuce from a flatbed truck. He felt the truck move and jumped believing he was about to be crushed by the unsecured harvester on the flatbed. Employee #1 sustained a fractured right leg. The truck's hand brake had not been secured.
