Employee Suffers Electrical Burns from Energized Pipe

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 14, 2002, Employee #1 and a coworker were installing irrigation pipes in an agricultural field area. The employee was manually turning/transporting a single section of the pipe, when quite suddenly, the wind (by velocity alone) swept it up and into some overhead electrical lines, while he was still holding on to it. Employee #1 suffered moderate to severe electrical burns and was hospitalized.
