Employee Amputates Thumb While Operating Miter Saw

On July 21, 2008, Employee #1, a lattice frame chopper, was cutting reject lumber with a compound miter saw. While cutting the lumber Employee #1 amputated his right thumb with the saw. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
