Employee Is Injured in Fall from Truck Trailer

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on November 15, 2007, Employee #1, a truck driver and the designated person to load trucks, was bringing trucks into the sawmill yard and loading them with various materials. The materials included chips, shavings and or bark. He was loading a truck when he noticed chip shavings had piled up on the platform on top of the trailer. He stepped on the top rail of the catwalk and was standing on the truck's platform, when the truck driver pulled forward, causing him to fall to the ground approximately 13 ft. He received two broken heels and a broken wrist and was hospitalized.
