Employee Lacerates Knee During Fall

At approximately 5:50 p.m. on November 18, 2007, Employee #1 was working as a law enforcement officer working in close proximity to mentally ill patients. Employee #1's duties included maintaining law and order on hospital grounds; patrolling and protecting hospital buildings and grounds; checking for unauthorized movement of patients, breaches of security, and unsafe conditions. Employee #1 was finishing up his shift when he was walking from one area to another. Employee #1 tripped and fell to the ground landing on his right knee. Employee #1 received lacerations his right knee requiring skin graft surgery. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
