Employee Fractures Leg When Dirt Rolled Down in Trench

On August 23, 2005, an employee was hired by the employer to install sewer and water pipelines. He was walking in a 3.5- ft-deep trench, when a dirt clod rolled down and hit the employee in the lower right leg. The employee sustained a broken right fibula.
