Employee amputates thumb tip when using food processor
On June 20, 2001, Employee #1 was using a food processor to slice carrots. The employee used his thumb to push down on the carrots to force them into the small opening. During this operation, the tip of his thumb was cut off by the food processor. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
