EMPLOYEE INJURED IN FALL DURING SCAFFOLD COLLAPSE

Employee #1 was asked by a coworker to help install siding in a part of the two-story, wooden frame, single-family residence under construction. A single-tier metal scaffold had been already erected and Employee #1 set up a portable ladder on a single scaffold plank. While on the ladder, the scaffold collapsed and Employee #1 fell to the ground. He suffered fractures in his right ankle.
