Employee Fingers Crushed in Glue Rolling Machine

At 10:30 a.m. on July 26, 1999, Employee #1 was setting up a glue rolling machine. During the set up operation Employee #1 observed a build up of glue in the side dams next to the rollers. In an attempt to clean the rollers Employee #1 reached into the machine while it continued to run and his hand slipped from the dam into the top rollers. The fourth and fifth digits of the right hand were crushed between the rollers.
