BURN - ELECTRICAL FAULT IN ELECTRICAL BUS

An apprentice electrician and his foreman were installing a disconnect switch onto an existing bus. The employees were trying to install the switch into the bus joint rather than use the plug-in socket. The switch caused an electrical fault when it contacted the energized bus, and the two employees were burned by the ensuing electric arc. They were hospitalized for their injuries.
