At 6:00 p.m. on July 15, 2017, an employee was cleaning the fruit munching machi ne, model CJ, serial # 4A010908. The employee caught her left thumb in the mach ine and amputated it from her hand. The employee was taken to Valley Medical Ce nter and transferred to Stanford Hospital in an attempt to reattach her thumb on her hand. The employee was hospitalized.
