Employee #1 and a coworker were smashing double hems on a camper top with a 20 ton press. The coworker released the front pedal; however, Employee #1 kept his pedal activated to save time. When going to the next part, the coworker activated his pedal. The machine cycled with Employee #1's hand in the point of operation. He required hospitalization.
