Employee breaks pelvis in 28 ft fall from wall opening

Employee #1, of Beck Street Construction Co., was attempting to cover nine sheets of sheetrock that were leaning against a wall directly across from a large window opening. The opening was protected by a top and midrail made of 2 by 4s that were nailed to pieces of flexible metallic material that were nailed to the building. Employee #1 was between the opening and the sheetrock when it fell and knocked him though the guardrail. He fell approximately 28 feet and sustained a broken pelvis.
