Employee killed in fall from steel braces

Employee #1 was welding braces for the roof of a facility under construction; the task required dragging the welding cable as he worked. Employee #1 was using a harness and a rope to tie himself off when he was working, but unlocked his harness to pass from one brace to another. While his harness was unlocked, he fell to the floor. Coworkers called 911 for assistance. He was stabilized and moved by ambulance to Mountain View Hospital, where he died.
