Employee found unconcious at work, later pronounced dead

At 8:30 a.m. on March 27, 2001, Employee #1, with the New York City Department of Housing's Tuberculosis Control Program, was found slumped at his workstation by arriving employees. The Department of Housing employees called Emergency Services and then attempted resuscitation efforts. Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and continued the resuscitation of Employee #1, who was transported to Kings County Hospital without regaining consciousness, and he was pronounced dead on arrival.
