Employee's finger amputated in power press

At approximately 6:45 a.m. on or about November 8, 1994, Employee #1 was operating a full-revolution mechanical power press when his left ring finger was caught between the ram and the strike pedal of a unitized tool. The finger was amputated at the first joint. The press was operated by a foot pedal, which was guarded. The single-stroke mechanism was working.
