Employee's finger amputated in power press

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on July 21, 1995, Employee #1 was operating a Ronsell 40-ton, part revolution, mechanical power press, serial #16600. Employee #1 dropped a piece or more from her hand, which then fell onto the right hand sensor while her left hand was in the left sensor. The power press cycled while Employee #1 had her right hand within the point of operation. Her right index finger was amputated.
