Employee's finger is amputated when caught in conveyor belt/

At 11:45 a.m. on April 17, 2017, an employee was repairing pallets. After a pallet is repaired, it is placed on a conveyor belt/line. A pallet became stuck and the employee tried to un-jam the pallet without stopping or pulling the E-STOP for the conveyor belt/line. The employee's glove and finger became caught on a sprocket chain. The employee's middle left finger was amputated. The employee went to a clinic and then to a medical center.
