electric shock - contact with energized parts

A repair shop employee was sent to work on a heating unit. Other employees heard a few bangs and found the employee lying on the floor. He had what appeared to be an electrical burn on his left hand, his skin was blue, and his fingers were mottled in color. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation was administered to no avail. The employee had been electrocuted. (No one witnessed the accident.)
