Employee injuries thumb and finger when caught in table saw

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on May 17, 2003, Employee #1 was operating a table saw in the truss yard. Employee #1 had removed the guard in order to cut a special block (using the saw in a router mode). The thumb and fourth finger of the left hand were cut when the block of wood moved. Employee #1 was hospitalized as a result of the injury.
