Investigation Summary
On October 2, 2003, Employee #1 of JSM Construction was operating a Skil saw. He was cutting a 2 by 4 block of wood when the saw kicked back and amputated his left thumb. A coworker called emergency medical services. He was transported to Davies Hospital in San Francisco where the thumb was reattached.
